So I unknowingly arrived right in the middle of Brisbane Festival. With tonnes of events going on, it’s not hard to come across something new to try. Today resulted in standing in a field with a few hundred people, watching bands whilst being covered in powder paint. I know, sounds random right? Welcome to Springflare, Brisbane’s answer to Holi Day.
The festival signifies a renewal of life and the farewell to winter by celebrating the colourful sights of the new season. People dance around whilst coloured powder is thrown everywhere. Just picture Karl Pilkington’s Indian trip in Idiot Abroad…
I tell you, it’s an art managing to shut your eyes and your mouth before you someone pelts you in the face with coloured powder.
If you ever get the chance to partake in Holi Day celebrations, do it! An amazing experience I’ll remember forever, and not just because my favourite bag is now dyed pink.

No! You cannot decorate your room in this way! Haha!

This looks like so much fun. After you get over the fact that you have to cover your hair and face in paint too!
I actually lol’d at Andy’s comment 😂xxx (loled, lol-ed, lol-d…. You know what I mean)
